Final Empress galleys proofed

So that's another sigh of relief -- the final corrections have been made to Empress of Mijak. Now it's a case of the typsetters taking in the changes, the cover getting its final sign-off, and the finishing touches going on the map. Then it's off to the printers ... and out into the world come June.

In the meantime, work continues on Godspeaker bk 2, The Riven Kingdom. Stay tuned! 


'Godspeaker' trilogy goes international

Orbit UK and US have purchased the rights to the 'Godspeaker ' trilogy: Empress of Mijak, The Riven Kingdom, Hammer of God. No publishing dates have been finalised as yet. The fantasy trilogy's first installment, Empress of Mijak, is set for a June release in Australia/New Zealand. An extract is available for reading in the Books section.


Author appearance at Conflux

Conflux is Canberra's annual spec fic convention. This year it's being held from September 28th to October 1st. A whole bunch of terrific authors and fans will be there ... and I'll be giving a fantasy writing workshop, free to convention attendees. 'The Innocent Mage' a Bookseller's Choice

Waterstones booksellers, the largest chain of bookshops in the UK, has selected 'The Innocent Mage' as its Fantasy title of the month for April, 2007. This coincides with the book's launch in the UK. Very exciting! This means the book will be prominently displayed in every Waterstones store, and be sold at an attractive discount.
